Does it really work on darker skin tones?
Yes — that's exactly why we chose 680 nm over the more common 620-660 nm. The longer wavelength penetrates melanin better, giving reliable vein contrast on Fitzpatrick IV-VI skin where cheaper devices fail.
Does it work on obese or edematous patients?
Better than most portable devices, but no near-infrared vein finder sees through several centimeters of tissue. Best on peripheral veins in the hands, forearms, feet, and antecubital fossa.
