Couldn't load pickup availability
Aluminum heating mantle for controlled heating of round-bottom flasks in laboratory distillation, reflux, extraction, organic synthesis, and solvent evaporation workflows. Electrically-heated knitted glass yarn element (no joints, even heat distribution) inside one-piece spun aluminum body (non-rusting, powder-coated and stove-enamel painted). Full-feature control panel with energy-regulator/temperature controller, temperature indicator, and mains switch. 9 capacity variants from 50 mL to 20 L covering every standard round-bottom flask size. $99 (50 mL) to $699 (20 L) direct.

FAQ
Which capacity should I buy?
Match to your round-bottom flask size. 250 mL is the undergraduate workhorse. 500 mL is the graduate research workhorse. 1 L for prep-scale synthesis. 5-20 L for pilot and small production. Don't oversize, mantle should snugly fit the flask for optimum heat transfer.
How does this compare to Glas-Col / Barnstead heating mantles?
Feature parity, knitted glass yarn heater, aluminum body, PID/energy regulator control. Glas-Col, Barnstead have slightly better temperature uniformity and longer warranty. Price differential varies but SciMed typically 30-50% below premium OEM.
Temperature range?
Typical operation: ambient to ~450°C at flask surface. Actual max depends on solvent boiling point, flask geometry and insulation. Never operate empty (heating element degrades without thermal load).
