Rectangular double-walled thermostatic water bath for lab liquid evaporation (alcohol, ether, water), agar / gel melting, enzyme incubation, and reagent warming. Double-wall SS 304 chamber with high-grade insulation between walls (prevents heat loss + reduces power consumption). Outer wall in thick mild steel with powder-coated matte finish OR SS 304 (specify). ISI-marked heating element. Capillary-type thermostat holds temperature from ambient to 110°C at ±1°C. Concentric removable rings on lid accommodate containers of various sizes. Two indicator lights + one on/off rotary switch. $849 direct.

How does this compare to Thermo Fisher / Julabo digital water baths?
Thermo + Julabo digital baths have PID digital control ±0.1°C — better for demanding molecular biology + PCR mastermix work. Ours has capillary analog thermostat at ±1°C — fully adequate for agar melting + general microbiology + histology + serology. Price differential: $849 vs $2,500-$5,500. For 90%+ of routine lab water bath applications, capillary thermostat is sufficient.
What size containers fit?
Concentric ring lid accommodates: 500 mL to 2 L Erlenmeyer flasks, standard media bottles (250-1000 mL), 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes (in rack), petri dishes (up to 90 mm). Remove all rings for full bath access.
Can I use water + antifreeze?
For sub-ambient work (below room temperature), water bath is heating-only — not chilled. For chilled operation, you'd need a refrigerated bath (different product category). This unit is for warming above ambient only.
