Complete solar-energy STEM kit, a working model that converts sunlight into light, electrical, mechanical, and sound energy in a single hands-on setup. Built for classroom demonstrations, science-fair projects, and grades 4-10 physics education. Every energy-conversion output the syllabus asks for, in one plug-and-play kit.
What's Included
- Solar panel with mounted charging circuit
- Rechargeable batteries: hold the charge for indoor demonstrations after outdoor sunlight sessions
- DC fan: demonstrates solar → mechanical energy conversion
- LED bulb: demonstrates solar → light energy conversion
- Voltage/current meter: measure the electrical output of the panel in real time
- Music module: demonstrates solar → sound energy conversion
- Assembly board with all wiring pre-terminated
Physics Concepts This Kit Teaches
- Photovoltaic effect, how sunlight becomes electrical current
- Energy conversion, the same input (light) driving 4 different useful outputs (light, motion, sound, charge storage)
- Battery charging and discharging cycles
- DC circuit basics, voltage, current, series/parallel wiring
- Renewable energy, real-world context for climate and sustainability curriculum units

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work indoors?
Charge the batteries outdoors in direct sunlight (30-60 minutes), then run the fan, bulb, meter, and music module indoors from the charged batteries. A bright indoor lamp also charges the panel slowly.
Is any assembly required?
No, the kit ships pre-wired. Kids connect the batteries and the load module (fan, bulb, meter, or music) and observe.
Is this suitable for a science-fair project?
Yes. It's designed for exactly that, one kit demonstrates four different energy conversions, giving students a rich set of measurements and photos to present.
What grade level is this for?
Best for grades 4-10 (ages 8-16). Younger children may need adult help with battery insertion.
