Funds pool monthly
Donations enter our general program pool. Each month, SciMed uses those funds to cover the manufacturing and shipping cost of pessaries donated to approved applicants.

Applying to receive a pessary
If you are a woman in the US who cannot afford a pessary, you can apply to be considered for our monthly program. Applications are reviewed monthly. Approvals depend on program funds available and application volume that month. No income proof required — self-attested statements accepted.
What you'll need to include in your email:
- Your full name
- US shipping address
- Your provider's name (if you have one) or "no provider currently"
- A short 2–3 sentence statement of your situation
- Which pessary type you need: Ring With Support, Ring Without Support, or unsure
- Size (if known)
- Confirmation you are 18 or older
- Confirmation you have NOT donated to this program in the last 12 months

This is NOT a tax-deductible charitable donation. SciMed Scientific Equipments LLC is a for-profit US business, not a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity. Donations are voluntary customer contributions and cannot be claimed as charitable tax deductions.
Donations are general program support, not pre-purchases. Your donation enters a pool. There is no fixed dollar-to-pessary equivalence. SciMed determines each month how many pessaries to ship based on pool size and applications received.
Donors cannot also be applicants within 12 months. To keep the program fair and prevent abuse, individuals who have donated are not eligible to also apply within a 12-month period.
No solicitation under charitable pretenses. We do not represent this program as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
Non-refundable once committed. Once donations are assigned to a monthly fulfillment batch, they cannot be refunded.

Frequently asked questions
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. SciMed is not a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donation is a direct customer contribution to fund the Give-Back Program. Do not claim it as a charitable deduction on your taxes. If tax-deductibility matters to you, please donate to established 501(c)(3) women's health charities instead.
Does my specific donation amount fund a specific pessary?
No. Donations enter a general program pool. SciMed determines how many pessaries to ship each month based on total pool funds and applications received. There is no fixed one-donation-equals-one-pessary equivalence.
Can I both donate AND apply to receive a pessary?
No. To keep the program fair and prevent abuse, individuals who have donated cannot also apply within 12 months of their donation, and vice versa. This rule prevents individuals from using donations as a way to receive pessaries at a discount.
Who qualifies to receive a donated pessary?
Adult women (18+) in the US who cannot afford a pessary, self-attest a statement of financial need, and have not participated as a donor in the prior 12 months. No income proof required. Limited to one donated pessary per applicant per 12 months.
How is the donation money used?
100% of donations fund pessary devices and shipping to approved applicants. SciMed does not take any administrative cut. We fulfill using our existing manufacturing and shipping operations.
How long does it take between donation and pessary delivery?
Applications are reviewed monthly. Approved applicants typically receive their pessary within 30–60 days of approval. Waitlist maintained if demand exceeds pool funds.
Can I get a receipt for my donation?
You receive an order receipt from Shopify at checkout showing your Give-Back contribution as a line item. This is not tax-deductible documentation. It is a customer receipt for personal record-keeping only.
Can I designate a specific recipient?
No. Donations fund the general program pool. Applicants receive pessaries in the order applications are approved. If you want to help a specific person, we recommend buying them a pessary at retail price and having it shipped to them.
Where do donated pessaries ship?
Only within the United States. We ship directly to approved applicants at their home address in plain, discreet packaging — the same as any SciMed order.
Can I donate a physical pessary I already bought?
No. We only accept monetary donations. Used pessaries cannot be resold or redistributed under FDA medical device regulations.
What if the donated pessary doesn't fit the recipient?
Recipients can email us and we ship a size exchange at no additional cost, funded by the same pool.
Can I get regular updates on the program?
Yes — email sales@scimedstore.com to opt into our monthly Give-Back Program update. We share aggregated impact numbers (no personal information about recipients or donors).
