The SciMed Knobbed Ring Pessary with Support is a ring pessary with a removal knob on the front edge — making self-removal at home noticeably easier than the standard ring. Same medical-grade silicone, same Class II FDA clearance, same support membrane. Just a small grip that lets you hook a finger more cleanly when you need to take it out.

Pay with your HSA/FSA card. These are FDA-cleared Class II medical devices (HCPCS A4562) — check out with pre-tax HSA/FSA funds and save roughly 20–30%.

Why this design exists: A SciMed customer left a 4-star review on the standard Ring With Support saying "this pessary would be better with a knob." Our team took the feedback to manufacturing. The Knobbed Ring is the result — a small change that matters for women with arthritis or limited finger dexterity.

Who this pessary is for

  • Arthritis, limited finger dexterity, or hand pain
  • You've struggled to remove your standard ring pessary at home
  • New to pessary use and want easiest self-removal
  • Frequent removal and want faster process

FAQ

Does the knob cause irritation during normal wear?

No — soft, contoured silicone designed for the finger-access position.

What size should I order?

Same size as your standard ring pessary. Most common: 3, 4, 5. Email sales@scimedstore.com for sizing help.

How is this different from a Gellhorn?

A Gellhorn is for severe prolapse (Grade 3–4) and is typically provider-managed. The Knobbed Ring is a regular ring pessary with a grip aid.

HSA/FSA eligible?

Yes. HCPCS A4562 (silicone/non-rubber pessary).
